This project involved a new grade separation of Lakeview Avenue over Orangethorpe Avenue and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Company (BNSF) railroad tracks by constructing a 4-lane overcrossing bridge. It includes a 4-lane bridge over Atwood Channel to provide access to a residence and 6 business properties east of Lakeview Avenue and a new connector road with a signalized intersection.
Our principal served as the Construction Manager (under Athalye/TranSystems’ contract) leading and directing the Construction Management (CM) team in the performance of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services, including surveying, materials testing, and utility coordination. He was responsible for developing the plans and procedures and ensuring all CM, Safety, Quality, and Control were achieved for the multi-year construction of this railroad grade separation project.
